Building A Scalable Beauty Services Booking Platform

Live website ›

Overview

Luxicure is a digital platform in Jordan that connects service providers with users looking to book beauty and wellness services.

The goal was to build a trusted, easy-to-use booking ecosystem that works for both sides of the marketplace:

  • Service providers (supply side)

  • Customers (demand side)

I led the product design end-to-end — from platform strategy and booking logic to UX architecture and UI system.

The Challenge

Marketplace products are not just websites — they are ecosystems.

Key issues:

  • No clear booking flow optimization

  • Limited trust signals for service providers

  • Weak provider profile structure

  • Friction in selecting time slots

  • Lack of marketplace credibility positioning

  • Mobile-first expectations in Jordan market

The challenge was balancing:

✔ Provider control
✔ User simplicity
✔ Platform scalability

Strategy & Product Thinking

Instead of designing pages, I designed flows.

The product was structured around three core pillars:

  1. Trust & credibility

  2. Seamless booking flow

  3. Provider growth enablement

Marketplace logic was redesigned around:

  • Supply–demand clarity

  • Time slot optimization

  • Review visibility

  • Category-based discovery

  • Conversion-driven provider profiles

Information Architecture & UX Improvements

1. Simplified Service Discovery

  • Clear category segmentation

  • Smart filtering (location, price, rating)

  • Mobile-friendly card hierarchy

  • Optimized search visibility

2. Booking Flow Optimization

  • Reduced booking steps

  • Clear time slot selection

  • Visual availability indicators

  • Transparent pricing before checkout

  • Minimal friction confirmation screen

3. Provider Profile Optimization

  • Structured service breakdown

  • Pricing clarity

  • Review prominence

  • Portfolio visibility

  • Trust badges & verification indicators

4. Marketplace Trust Layer

  • Consistent UI system

  • Payment clarity

  • Booking confirmation reassurance

  • Cancellation policy visibility

Visual Direction

The visual system was designed to feel:

  • Modern & clean

  • Trustworthy

  • Professional

  • Gender-neutral

  • Mobile-first

Design decisions included:

  • Soft neutral backgrounds

  • Structured spacing system

  • Conversion-focused CTAs

  • Clear typography hierarchy

  • Consistent card system across flows

Business Impact

While specific numbers remain confidential, measurable improvements included:

  • Higher booking completion rate

  • Reduced booking abandonment

  • Increased provider sign-ups

  • Improved mobile engagement

  • Stronger brand credibility perception

The platform evolved from a listing directory into a functional marketplace engine.

What This Project Demonstrates

  • Marketplace product thinking

  • Booking flow architecture

  • Trust-centered UX

  • Two-sided platform design

  • Conversion-focused design systems

  • Business-aligned UX strategy

Reflection

Designing for marketplaces requires systems thinking — not screens.

In regional markets like Jordan, trust, clarity, and simplicity drive adoption.

Luxicure became more than a service directory.
It became a scalable booking ecosystem.
